GMP is  a group of companies with high activity in the industrial minerals sector, providing great quality raw materials for a wide range of industries.

We started operations in 1955 at Monterrey, N.L.  as Materias Primas Monterrey, being the first company in Mexico to have a silica sand plant providing the glass industry. Since then, we have been in a continuous expansion, with several mines and plants over  the mexican territory.

Our corporate office is located at Monterrey, N.L. We have ten producing facilities located at: Villa Hidalgo, Coah., Lampazos, Apodaca y Benito Juarez, N.L., Tizayuca, Hgo., San Jose Iturbide, Gto., Ahuazotepec, Pue., Jaltipan, Aguilera y San Juan Evangelista, Ver. Our central laboratory is located at Santa Catarina, N.L.

In 1997 we were integrated as Grupo Materias Primas,  our customer orientation, our comitment of being liders in Mexico, and also de gratest industrial minerals company in Latin America.
